Some of you may not be aware that there is a in-built Dark theme in your windows 10, bu it is not enabled by default.
So I'm gonna show you a way to enable that Dark theme. Although you will be making some changes in your registry, but don't worry, it's perfectly safe.
For Windows 10 Pro & Enterprise Users:
- Press Windows+R to open Run and type regedit and press enter.
- Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Themes\Personalize
- Create a new D-Word value and name it "AppsUseLightTheme"
For Windows 10 Home Users:
- Press Windows+R to open Run and type regedit and press enter.
- Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Themes\Personalize
- Create a new D-Word value and name it "AppsUseLightTheme"
If it didn't work,
Open the Settings app and go to the Personalization group of settings. In the Color tab, toggle the color accent color switch a few times. The theme should change with the first switch.
To change back to Light Theme,
Simply set the value of the DWORD file you created to 1. If the change doesn’t take effect, go to the Settings app and toggle the color accent option again.
That's it. Enjoy :D
